Carol Roberts joined the Premedical Studies Program in March 2006 after its move to Memorial Hall to serve all UGA majors.  She is working with the predental and preoptometry students and assists Dr. Langford with premedical students as needed.  Her responsibilities include supervising the predental and preoptometry committees within Alpha Epsilon Delta, Premedical Honor Society and its affiliated “Premed Clubs.”  She will help coordinate the admissions committees’ visits for both optometry and dental schools, compose the cover letters for the students’ applications to those professional schools, and assist the students with completion of their faculty evaluation “packets,” and admission application procedure.

Carol comes from over nineteen years of advising first and second year Bachelor of Science students in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, including many seeking careers in health-care.  Her former position of Lead and Senior Bachelor of Science advisor allowed for frequent contact with Dr. Langford since 1997.  Both of her sons are practicing dentists and one of her daughters-in-law is an M.D. pathologist (all UGA graduates).  Carol attended the University of Texas, has a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and doctoral work at the University in Adult and Higher Education.
